One of the major challenges faced by DAOs is the difficulty of staying informed about everything that occurs within them.

DAOs advocate for transparency, which is why you can see all the proposals being made, as well as how the treasury funds are being utilized.

In this article, as we do every month, we will review the latest proposals launched at Krause House.

Let’s get started!

KH June Proposals

NOLA Project Extension

The “NOLA Project Extension” proposal suggests extending the deadline for a previous outreach proposal to secure a meeting with the top executives of the New Orleans Pelicans. The original deadline was May 31, 2023, and the new proposed deadline is August 31, 2023. The proposal received a majority vote of “Needs Significant Edits” (70.8%) during the voting period on Discord.

Soothsayer, along with a personal contact referred to as Soothsquad, seeks to introduce Krause House to a key member of the New Orleans Pelicans ownership group, specifically Gayle Benson and/or Dennis Lauscha. If a meeting with either of these individuals is arranged by Soothsquad, a $25,000 payout will be triggered, regardless of the meeting’s outcome.

Additionally, Soothsayer’s contact is willing to participate in the meeting alongside Krause House for an extra fee of $3,500, which can be determined later upon Krause House’s request.

If an LOI (Letter of Intent) is executed between Krause House and the New Orleans Pelicans at a 1% ownership level or higher, Soothsquad will receive an additional compensation of $25,000. In the case of a minority acquisition facilitated by Soothsquad between Krause House and the New Orleans Pelicans, a separate compensation package will be requested, aligning with reasonable standard rates for a “finders fee.” The specifics of this package will be proposed separately by Soothsquad.

Mario Contributor Stream Renewal

The proposal states that Mario will receive up to 9,167 USDT (Tether) and 7,500 KRAUSE tokens paid monthly for a period of four months, from June 1 to September 30, 2023.

The focus of Mario’s renewal for the next four months will be on various areas:

  • Community Management & Communications: Mario will share announcements with community members, provide support, update resources for new members, manage the KH Discord Community, and prepare for the launch of KH Telegram.
  • Fan Content Creation Hub: Mario plans to run a second cohort of Mochi, a group of fans from India & the Philippines, for content creation focused on the KH Journey and the BIG3 Ball Hogs.
  • Social Media Management: Mario will manage KH’s social media accounts, engage with the basketball community on Twitter, post regularly on Instagram, and build relationships with brands and influencers. He will also support Uncle Jon & Dluxe with the BIG3 Ball Hogs social media accounts.
  • Community Recognition Program: Mario intends to devise a plan to recognize community members with rewards such as $KRAUSE governance tokens, basketball memorabilia, and shoutouts.
  • Partnerships: Mario will foster relationships with new partners that add value to the KH community and vision.
  • Community Reporting: Mario will provide weekly updates on projects and community highlights through podcasts and newsletters.

Mario has previously contributed to KH through community building, onboarding, growth, and various roles such as KH Partnerships, Digital Community Management for Partners, Ball Hogs Partnerships, Digital Community Consulting, Product Building, Social Media Support, and International Court Refurbs.

Note: The Stewardship team or the community can cancel the agreement at any point.

Mochi Season #2 Budget

The Mochi Season #2 Budget proposal, authored by Mario, outlines plans to partner with Mochi for a second cohort, starting in mid-June. The focus of this cohort will be on producing NBA and Ball Hogs content in English, Tagalog, and Hindi.

The Mochi program aims to create a “digital street team” for Krause House, incentivizing community members to create video content for the DAO and sports teams while facilitating community building and engagement with web3.

The requested budget for Mochi Season #2 is $5000 USDT, allocated as follows:

  • $2500 USDT at the start of the journey (by June 15) to cover team base costs.
  • The remaining $2500 USDT will be used for bonus payments based on performance, with any surplus potentially allocated to additional journeys (Season #3).
  • A bonus provision states that if 100,000 plays are not reached during the journey, Mochi will return the amount above the cost, with additional payment of $10 per 1k plays over 100k (up to a $5k cap).

The platforms primarily used will be TikTok for participants from the Philippines and Nigeria and Instagram for participants from India, while community members from other regions will also have the opportunity to participate.

The proposal outlines the goals and focus areas for Season #2 based on the learnings from Season #1. This includes hosting tryouts to identify the top content creators, providing tools and resources for content creation, implementing targeted sponsorships and post boosts, incentivizing team engagement with the content, appointing sub-community leaders from the Philippines and India, and concluding the season with a community vote to determine the favorite content and award a bonus prize.

The project timelines indicate that tryouts took place between June 12th and 19th, followed by social media training from June 20th to 25th.

Mochi Season #2 officially kicked off on June 26th, with daily content creation focusing on Ball Hogs and NBA topics. The season will span four weeks, and if there are remaining funds, Season #3 will begin within five days of the end of Season #2. Participants will be expected to contribute one social media clip per day, seven days a week.

Minal KH India, Main & Ball Hogs Instagram Management

The proposal aims to optimize the Instagram handles of Krause House and Ball Hogs to achieve organic community growth. Minal Chaudhury, an experienced social media professional, will provide services to grow the Instagram accounts and enhance their reach.

The requested budget is as follows:

  • KH India: $600 per month
  • KH Main: $600 per month
  • Ball Hogs: $300 per month

The initial contract is proposed for a duration of four months, and payments will be made at the beginning of each month. The funds will be used as compensation for the services provided to grow the Instagram handles.

For KH India Instagram, the strategy focuses on capitalizing on the high viewership in India, particularly on Instagram. The content will include relatable and inspirational posts, highlight reels of basketball players, and original KH content tailored to the Indian audience.

Regarding the Ball Hogs Instagram, the plan is to optimize existing content and incorporate new content from games. Correct practices, hashtags, audio, and other elements will be utilized to increase visibility and engagement.

In terms of community building, the proposal suggests creating a Discord community for KH India once the Instagram account gains traction. Additionally, Minal Chaudhury will help manage the Ball Hogs Discord community.

The overall goal is to maximize organic growth and foster community engagement on Instagram by optimizing and producing content, following best practices, and implementing effective strategies.

Overall, the June proposals reviewed in this monthly recap demonstrate Krause House’s proactive approach to community engagement, strategic partnerships, and organic growth.
